Kenneth Allen

Ken brings a military, legal and business background to VLAS. He enlisted in the Army, then attended law school using his GI benefits. Following active duty, he served in the Active Reserves and National Guard in the Judge Advocate General’s corps.

On graduating from law school, Ken gained experience as an attorney in state government. He worked primarily in a state insurance department, where he led a financial regulatory staff. He then worked for large and small insurance businesses as an in-house counsel and manager. He has also been an owner in several small businesses, including startups and ongoing businesses. In one, a staffing company, he led outreach and assistance directed towards veterans seeking work and advancement. Most recently he provided compliance and contract consultation to small businesses.
