Our History

The Veterans’ Legal Aid Society was founded to fill a critical need: to assist Veterans and their families in seeking Aid and Attendance benefits and provide income-based legal aid services to Veterans of limited means.  Since that time, VLAS provided a number of legal services based on its niche focus to assist seniors and disabled people.  VLAS now provides legal services that are not likely to be accessed or otherwise available to people of limited means and that directly assist in veterans and their families’ wellbeing.
